Before I start, for everyone that knows me in real life, don't try and look too deep into this. I don't like mingling my personal life with my social life. Think of this as pure art instead of trying to examine everything, please. Thanks.
Hey. So,... I guess this was inspired from a past issue I had, and just recently, it came back to bite me. But I'm not going into detail with this. Let's move onto the picture.
So, basically, the story with this picture is this child, about grade 2-5 have parents that are divorced. The reason is their father went off with another woman and cheated on their mother. The child is still young and really doesn't know hate, but the father puts the woman before their child and the child finally sees the true colours of their father. But it's not just the father's fault, it's also the woman's fault for hogging all his attention and not allowing the child any.
Of course, the child was taken care of well by their mother and was told to never hold a grudge. But one day, the child lost it and went after their father and the woman. But because they're so young, they don't understand the crime they've committed.
Etc.
Don't worry. I have no grudges or anything like that! I'm so over it. The most I have are little 5-minute depression or anger when priorities aren't in order. But I usually keep my feelings about that to myself as much as possible, so Shh!.
Although it says, "LADY" in the drawing, the more correct term to use would be "WOMAN", because a attention-hog is not a lady. *five-minute anger time*<-- Haha! I'm kidding you about the five-minute anger time. But because the child is young, they usually refer to an older woman as "LADY".
The child,... looks like a girl, but I'm not sure if they're a girl or a boy. I tried to make them look either way. Either a girl, or a girlish boy. The image refers to one child. The left represents their innocence. The centre represents their actions. And the right represents their desire. All in all, I say that although I don't approve of ending someone's life early, the child is not at fault. They were treated with disrespect and were ignored.
Traditional, but edited in photoshop so the black and red ink was more even and clean. But I didn't edit the red eye on the right of the picture because I liked it just the way it was.
Gah~ So happy with how this came out, wanted it to look like those pure black and white, action comics. Like DOGS by Miwa Shirow.'Cept, I'm not as pro~
DeviantART has partnered with FAIR to help promote equality through The Love Unites Shepard Fairey Equality Project. We're asking deviants to align themselves with this cause and have their work judged by Shepard Fairey himself!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
For those who have many watchers, and for those who dont have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.
